What we do

We are the leading provider of Activator training in the UK. We have travelled all over the UK, teaching student to expert chiropractors the Activator technique. We are passionate about introducing the method to a new audience and realising Activator’s potential as a safe, reproducible and effective means of chiropractic treatment.

  • The Activator Method Chiropractic Technique is a type of manual therapy that uses a small, hand-held instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument. It is designed to deliver a gentle, low-force impulse to the spine or extremities with the goal of restoring motion to targeted vertebrae or joints.

The technique is highly controlled and does not involve the twisting or cracking movements often associated with traditional chiropractic adjustments.

  • Gentle and Painless: The instrument delivers precise, low-force adjustments, making it suitable for children, seniors, and people with certain health conditions.

Improved Accuracy: Chiropractors use specific testing procedures (leg length checks and neurological reflex testing) to locate subluxations and guide treatment.

Reduced Muscle Resistance: The speed and precision of the instrument minimize the body’s natural tendency to tighten muscles during manual adjustments.

Consistent Results: The instrument allows for consistent and repeatable force, reducing variability in treatment.

Broad Applicability: It's often used to treat back pain, neck pain, headaches, and joint issues in a less invasive way.

  • To practice the Activator Method you must be a licenced and insured Health Care professional.

Before you can provide treatment commercially, you must complete specialized training in the Activator Method. This includes Passing a proficiency exam administered by Activator Methods International.

After passing the exam, you will be expected to maintain ongoing education and recertification as required, especially for Advanced Proficiency ratings.
